Background

Advances in computer architectures, recently in the form of multi-cores, Graphical Processing Units, Reconfigurable computing, etc. have given major impetus to use these high performance computing (HPC) technologies as the mainstream computing tools for design and development of parallel and distributed software systems for their scientific and engineering applications.

This Indo-Russian workshop will highlight the use of the HPC and allied technologies in scientific and engineering applications. There has been a number of joint development of mathematical modeling and simulation softwares undertaken in collaboration between the groups in India and Russia with the support of DST, Government of India.

The workshop will feature invited talks by Russian and Indian scientists on topics including computational aero-hydrodynamics, seismic modeling, fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, bioinformatics, atmospheric & ocean studies and development of parallel algorithms for solving problems in these areas.

Speakers

Invited speakers from Russia and India will be presenting their recent research work and their experiences with parallel computing platforms.

Who may attend?

Research students and faculty members from research/academic institutions, and practitioners from the industry.

Registration

The workshop is free for teachers and researchers from various Government aided research/academic institutions.
For participants from industry, fee per participant would be Rs.2000/-
